Jonas Walter holds a PhD in Human Factors with a focus on the acceptance of connected products, usability and user experience. He leads the Usability Engineering team of the data-driven UX agency, Custom Medical. The agency is supporting clients with usability engineering and testing. This support is provided both in practical work and in training customers in various areas.
Since its establishment, Custom Medical has implemented more than 300 successful projects and has won or been nominated for several design awards (Red Dot Design Award Winner Interface Design, German Design Award, UX Design Award, etc.) since 2019.
Jonas Walter is the internal and external reference for complex method design and medical regulatory documentation, both under IEC 62366-1 (EU) and FDA (US) regulation for all classes of medical devices.
Within the last years, he has accompanied varies medical products on their way to CE mark and/or FDA clearance, covering both IVDs and medical devices. For the international training provider MedicalDeviceHQ, Jonas Walter is active as an exclusive partner for Medical Device Usability Engineering training.
